Mikumi National Park is rich in wildlife and home to a large number of mammals covering four members of the African Big 5, only missing Rhinos. Additionally, it hosts varieties of numerous herds of animals ranging from Elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Hyenas, Leopards, Lions, Sable Antelopes, Great Kudu, Hartebeest Impalas, Hippos, Baboons, Giraffe, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Gazelle and Elands which can be viewed throughout the year. Reptiles including Crocodiles, Monitor lizards and Pythons are also residents in the park.
